University of Southampton becomes NMI's 150th Member
The National Microelectronics institute (NMI), the trade association representing the semiconductor industry in the UK and Ireland, has announced a 50% increase in its membership in little over a year. The University of Southampton has just become the NMI's 150th member.
Established in 1996 as a not-for-profit organisation completely funded by its members, the NMI has grown rapidly to embrace the entire microelectronics supply chain. Its membership today includes fabless semiconductor manufacturers, IDMs, foundries, design services, IP providers, EDA tool providers and research and academic institutions.
