Manufacturing Support
NMI Suppliers Group
In July 2009, NMI joined forces with the Scottish Semiconductor Supplier Forum (SSSF) and formed the NMI Suppliers Group. This merger pulls in another group of very important stakeholders into the NMI community and we hope to expand this group across the UK to create business opportunities or collaborations for members. We recognise the importance of good, local suppliers for manufacturing plants and will therefore actively help to promote those companies products and services whenever possible. Furthermore, we also recognise the need for suppliers to be globally focussed and so we provide opportunities for our suppliers to exhibit at international events.
NMI hopes to develop many valuable deliverables in partnership with our newly formed Suppliers Steering Board who will represent this special group and help grow our services.
Specific Deliverables
- On-line Suppliers Directory - links to all suppliers and a description their products and/or services
- Access and attendance, where appropriate, to Wafer Fab meetings
- Group coordination to International exhibitions
- Access to NMI Annual dinner

NMI Announces Partnership with Semi-Directory
The National Microelectronics Institute (NMI) is delighted to announce a partnership with Semi-Directory (www.semi-directory.com) the on-line directory that promotes suppliers to the Semiconductor industry. The NMI has established a new Suppliers group within its expanding membership, as we recognise the critical role that the suppliers have within the industrial eco-system, in providing essential support to manufacturing sites at local and international levels. The opportunity to partner with Semi-Directory was seen as a logical step to promote the new specialist group globally.
Semi-Directory Benefits
The Semi-Directory provides a truly unique offering that helps users source new suppliers or renew old contacts within the industry. The companies who exhibit on the SEMI-Directory can easily update and customise their own pages within the system, to ensure their product offerings are up to date. Semi-Directory offers a range additional services that can provide a host of business opportunities for its exhibitors. More details can be found at www.semi-directory.com.
