By far the bulk of UK and Irelands microelectronics output is exported to OEMs around the world where it is integrated into electronics products. Many of todays leading brands have technology sourced from this region whether its a mobile handset, set-top box, digital TV or radio, Satelite Navigation device or simply a control system in a car - there's a rich diversity of output.

A great place to be for R&D...
Many of the worlds electronics companies have design and manufacturing bases here too - the last time we checked, 17 of the worlds top 25 semiconductor companies had design and development operations here. NMI is in contact with the vast majority of these companies and even if they're not members there's a good chance they'll have been represented at our many networking events along the way.
