| NMI is currently leading a UK-wide project with industrial and university
members to explore the expectations and visions for verification in
the future and the challenges/barriers involved in getting there.
The outcome will be a coherent set of objectives for Verification
in the UK, leading to targeted, applied research projects and closer
cooperation with leading edge design groups, EDA suppliers and academia.
The lead academic is Dr
Kerstin Eder at the University of Bristol.
Results from the initial discussions will shortly be available
to NMI members. Please get in touch with Robin Kennedy if you would
like to be informed when they are available.
The next round of meetings are currently being planned. If you
would like to participate or contribute, again, please get in touch.
The next NMI Verification Event is being held on 28th Februray
in Reading. The theme is Mission-Critical
Verification.

NMI thanks those companies who sponsored our Technical Network programme
in 2007. Together with NMI’s investment in the operation of
the networks, their continuing support enables us to ensure the
events are free to attend.
If your company is interested in supporting the Technical Network
events in 2008, please get in touch. Exclusive sponsorship and discounts
for sponsoring multiple events are available.
If would like to be a presenter, a panellist (or know someone who
would) or if you have a suggestion for a presentation topic, please
get in touch.
Case studies presented by hands-on designers/end users are always
particularly well received by the technical audience at these events.
