The UK has a globally recognized design competency in Analogue
and Mixed-Signal, with skilled engineers and complete design supply
chain coverage from IP design through to product release, including
a strong research base.
In 2004, recognising this strength, and the need to increase awareness
of the intrinsic UK supply chain, NMI established the Analog
and Mixed-Signal Network.
Network agendas have included analog IP and re-use , design through
the supply chain up to and including manufacture, system-in-package
and test, tools and methods, large mixed-signal SoCs and research
and skills initiatives. In 2006 the scope of the network was expanded
to include RF design.
For a snap-shot of those companies contributing
to the analogue, mixed-signal and RF design capability in the UK
and Ireland, see our Analogue,
Mixed-Signal (AMS) and RF Capability Map

NMI thanks those companies who sponsored our Technical Network programme
in 2007. Together with NMI’s investment in the operation of
the networks, their continuing support enables us to ensure the
events are free to attend.
If your company is interested in supporting the Technical Network
events in 2008, please get in touch. Exclusive sponsorship and discounts
for sponsoring multiple events are available.
If would like to be a presenter, a panellist (or know someone who
would) or if you have a suggestion for a presentation topic, please
get in touch.
Case studies presented by hands-on designers/end users are always
particularly well received by the technical audience at these events.
