Motivation

The motivation behind this network is based on the following:

  • Low Carbon use and sustainable energy are major societal challenges
  • A High Percentage of UK based companies have Semiconductor Enabling processes as a core competency that are crucial to achieving Low Carbon targets.
  • An entire electronics supply chain and eco-system exists in the UK.
  • There is a strong, relevant research base and design & systems house presence.
  • There is a need for increased collaboration and accelerated change towards global targets

Purpose

  • Enable / facilitate collaboration , communication, Knowledge transfer
  • Challenge power process materials , designs & applications
  • Covers strategic research to near-market development
  • Signposting of capabilities, requirements and strengths.

The Presentation materials , attendee list and Agenda from previous events are available to all NMI members by in the member's area of the web site.
