Motivation

The main motivation for introduction of this network was based on the following:

  • Changing market dynamics and economics of production
  • Common issues faced in advanced technology nodes (Dfx)
  • NPI vs. ROI - the economics are getting tougher.
  • There is a need for increased collaboration between all stakeholders

Purpose

  • Enable / facilitate collaboration, communication and Knowledge transfer
  • Challenge the way of working to embrace new technology nodes.
  • Increase awareness externally of the network’s capabilities and opportunities
  • Signposting of UK capabilities, requirements and strengths.

Status

NAG ( Network Advisory Group )

Each NMI Technical Network is launching a NAG Team this Year ( 2009) to provide a small advisory group of Industry experts that are willing to help NMI ensure that the networks are maintaining the highest quality in terms of network deliverable / presentations, and ensure the themes are tackling current hot topics.
