Sector Networks
NMI run the most comprehensive range of sector networks spanning the value chain from front-end design (encompassing both chip and software/system design) through "foundry link" to manufacture.
Innovation and Excellence
Our networks are broadly categorised into innovation and excellence:
Innovation networks are constructed around technical competencies and are linked into resarch, applications and markets - for example how the UK's mixed signal and RF capabilities enable global mobile communications.
Excellence networks are centred on the capabilities required to deliver innovative products to the world - for example design verification and fabless operations.

Use the links in the side bar to learn more about each individual network and how you can get involved. If you would like to keep informed of events and updates you can do so by signing up for our newsletter and updates.
Funding
Delivering innovation requires investment either through private channels such as Angels and Venture Capital or through a publicly funded programme such as the popular Collaborative Research and Development grants. Public funding is available for Research, Product Development, Commercialisation and Company Growth for businesses in the UK. Navigating the funding maze is not for the time-pressed manager however the Knowledge Transfer Network has compiled an online tool which will help accelerate you to funds that are available

Sponsorship Opportunities
NMI thanks those companies who sponsored our Sector Network programme in recent years - combined with NMI’s investment in the operation of the networks, the continued support enables us to ensure the networks are accessible to members and stakeholders.
If your company is interested in supporting any of the NMI Sector Networks, please get in touch. For NMI members exclusive sponsorship and discounts for sponsoring multiple events are available.
Call for Contributions
If you have an interest in any of our knowledge themes and would like to propose a speaker, a panellist or if you have a suggestion for a presentation topic, please contact the relevant Network Manager noted above.
Case studies presented by hands-on designers/end users are always particularly well received by the technical audience at the events.
