NMI are developing an Emissions Monitoring System (EMS) which will
assist in the administration of NMI’s Climate
Change Levy Agreements (CCA). The EMS will allow members to
directly input their monthly energy consumption and throughput data
for reporting to Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs
(DEFRA) under NMI’s CCA.
This system will allow direct feedback to the members on their
ongoing performance against their agreed targets, as well as immediate
access to data, automatic reminders, error checking and change tracking.
There is also potential to further develop the system to provide
added benefits to members.
The Emissions Monitoring System is expected to launch in early
2006.
